urDreams – Resolving the financial barrier for the school students across Bangladesh

An extension of Dreams For Tomorrow, ur-dreams.com presents a crowd-sourced charity funding solution. In Bangladesh, countless bright students face the heartbreaking prospect of discontinuing their education due to financial constraints. With a modest contribution of BDT 500/month (BDT 6K/year or $60k/year), you can be the wind beneath the wings of a deserving student, enabling their academic journey to soar.

⦿ Key Features:
  1. Financial aid for education: urDreams provides financial support to cover school fees, textbooks, stationery, uniforms, and other essential educational materials. This support alleviates the financial burden on families and ensures that students can continue their education uninterrupted. 
  2. Parental Engagement: urDreams collaborates with the parents of the students (who are receiving the aids) to ensure that the aid given to the right hands as well as those are invested properly.
  3. Crowd sourced fund: urDreams funds are collected through crowd sourcing ensuring the sustainability of the initiative. At the same time, we enable the participation of the community so that this becomes an ecosystem of pure charity. Our volunteers do the management of the fund etc. with zero operation charge making this as a unique model.
  4. Monitoring and Evaluation: To ensure the effectiveness of the program, we conducts regular monitoring and evaluation of the students receiving the financial aids. Accordingly, we provide reports to the respective donors.
⦿ Impact:

Since its inception, urDreams has supported 33 students from 22 schools. 19 students have passed their SSC exams with our support, and in 2024, 2 students achieved a GPA of 5. These achievements highlight the positive difference urDreams has made in the educational journey of rural students in Bangladesh.

⦿ Future Plans:

Looking ahead, urDreams aims to expand its reach to more rural areas across Bangladesh. We plan to increase the number of scholarships and financial aid packages available, ensuring that more students can benefit from our support. Also, we’ll work on a complete automated system so that manual operations can be removed.
